Research in different business spheres

COMCON offers results of monthly monitoring of how Russians feel the economic crisis. The project Monitoring of economic crisis is a sort of “compass” which is to help companies select the optimal line of “marketing behavior” in the present circumstances.

Information is gathered every first week of each month, starting November 2008. Monitoring project will be conducted monthly until the economic situation in the country gets stable.

Information is collected by way of on-line survey. Each wave of the Monitoring enquires for opinions of 1300 respondents at the age of 18-45 from Russian cities with population over 1 million.

The questions are concerned with people’s overall awareness of the crisis and how it goes on, their attitude towards situations at the world and Russian markets, sources of information preferred, features of the crisis and its future, what effects it may have on relatives and friends, shopping behavior of respondents with a split by categories (48 food and non-food). A separate topic is dedicated to how people manage their savings in the situation concerned.

The great number of open questions contained in the questionnaire helps to find better understanding of respondents’ reaction.
